Jonathan Kimmelman
Jonathan Kimmelman holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and is Associate Professor in Biomedical Ethics at McGill University. His research centers on ethical and policy dimensions of translational research. He directs the Studies for Translation, Ethics, and Medicine (STREAM) Group. Major publications relating to METRICS have examined design and reporting in preclinical research, nonreporting and redundancy in drug trials, and polices driving efficient research design. Kimmelman received the 2006 Maud Menten New Investigator Prize and a 2014 Bessel- Humboldt Fellowship. He has advised numerous policy-making bodies, including the World Medical Association, FDA, the Canadian Institute of Health Research, and the U.S. Institute of Medicine.
