Stefania Boccia

Stefania Boccia (SB) is Full professor of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) and IRCCS "Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli" (FPG) in Rome, where she is appointed as Deputy President of the Ethical Committee. Associate Editor of European Journal of Public Health and European Journal of Epidemiology, and Advisory Board Member of the Lancet Regional Health- Europe. SB is currently the President of the European Public Health epidemiology Section of the European Public Health Association, Member of the European Commission (EC) Initiative on Colorectal Cancer- Expert Pool, and alternate in the Mission Board Sub-group “Cancer” and in the “Steering Group on Health Promotion, Disease Prevention and Management of Non-Communicable Diseases” of the EC. She is currently the coordinator of three EU funded projects (PROPHET, IC2PerMed, ExACT) and PI of 7 EU funded projects and a number of national ones. Author and co-author of 325 scientific publications; H index (Scopus): 50; no. citations= 8632.
