Maria Elena Flacco

Maria Elena Flacco, MD, is associate professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ferrara, Italy, and director of the local residency program in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine. As a clinical epidemiologist, she is member of the Ethics Committee of the Local Health Authority of Bologna. She has previously worked as a consultant on healthcare management, and as an expert biostatistician for the Cancer Registry of the Abruzzo Region, Italy. Her research focuses on evidence synthesis on vaccines or drugs efficacy and safety; maternal and child health; healthcare services quality assessment; cardiovascular risk factors, and publication bias.
