    Most scientists believe that the present publication system is in need of change. Of many possible innovations in communicating biological research, the widespread use of preprints has the potential to be both transformative and feasible in the near-term.

    The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss electronic preprints and the role they can play in the ecosystem that disseminates scientific results to life scientists.
