Ioana Cristea is an Associate Professor at Babes-Bolyai University, Romania and will be joining METRICS as a Visiting Scholar. She is trained as a clinical psychologist and has previously also worked at the universities of Pisa and Padova. Her research focuses on critically examining mental health outcome research, using quantitative techniques like individual patient data meta-analysis. Her project at METRICS will explore ways of measuring conflict of interest for psychotherapy interventions, as well as examine whether and under which conditions financial and non-financial investigator biases, on one hand, and trial risk of bias vulnerabilities, on the other, jointly influence outcomes of mental health interventions.
